Ayrton’s liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) storage technology presents an opportunity for large, scalable and efficient transport of hydrogen over long distances, while mitigating hydrogen loss and pipeline corrosion. The storage technology provides a dense hydrogen storage medium without cryogenics or pressure.
Safe and Secure Hydrogen Storage – Hydrogen stored at room temperature and pressure in a non-toxic oil-based carrier fluid that is regulated like diesel or gasoline with negligible safety and environmental concerns.
Lower CAPEX Cost - The proprietary process has lower CAPEX costs that is driven from the low temperature of the reaction for hydrogen storage and release process (<80C) and low-energy demand (3kwh/kg-h2)
Fuel Cell Grade Hydrogen Purity - 99.999% without additional purification required. The storage system is also agnostic to the type of hydrogen stored, including production from electrolysis to pyrolysis.
High Hydrogen Capacity: Competitive volumetric storage density of 55kg/m3 of LOHC.
Infrastructure Compatible - Suitable for transportation in conventional infrastructure - tanks, trucks and pipelines
Long Duration Hydrogen Storage: No self-discharge during storage, suitable for long-duration storage without losses
